*The Last Ship Performance
Acclaimed musical The Last Ship, written and composed by international music icon Sting, will be presented for the first time in the Southern Hemisphere at QPAC’s magnificent Glasshouse Theatre in April 2026.

Inspired by Sting’s childhood in Wallsend, United Kingdom, The Last Ship tells the poignant story of a community grappling with the decline of their shipyard – the beating heart of their livelihood. With themes of pride, loss, and togetherness, the production collides past and future in a moving exploration of resilience and identity.

Sting himself stars in the leading role of Jackie White, immersing audiences in a deeply personal performance. His music – spanning raw folk, stirring choral anthems, and tender ballads – drives the production, with powerful songs such as Island of Souls, All This Time, and When We Dance woven throughout.

The Last Ship is a heartfelt theatrical journey – a tribute to the people and place that shaped Sting, and a story of love, hope, and the power of community.

Duration: TBC – including interval, subject to change without notice

Warning:
This production contains mature themes including loss, grief, and industrial decline, and may not be suitable for all audiences. The performance may also include theatrical smoke, haze, strobe lighting, or loud sound effects.

Age Recommendation:
Recommended for ages 12+.

Performance dates and time is only available for the set date of your preferred package. Once confirmed, tickets will be non-refundable and non-transferable. All tickets included in the packages are for seats in B Reserve seating.
